Cuddly New Arrival

We’ve had a big influx of birds over the past month. One new resident is Pupay, a male Paradise Shelduck. He was rescued from the side of a busy road when he was an orphaned chick, and lovingly hand raised by Jeffrey. Since he was almost fully grown and about to fly, Jeffrey knew that the city wasn’t the right place for Pupay, and brought him to the safety of The Sanctuary. Pupay likes to sit on laps and have a cuddle – and our Sanctuary Supporter Rochelle was happy to oblige! See photo and story below for Pupay’s great adventure…
