Jose Is Smiling Again

We are delighted to announce that Jose has fully recovered from the horrific attack he suffered last month. His injuries have all healed, even the huge gaping wound through flesh and muscle under his “armpit”. We used arnica and hepar sulph in his drinking water, sprayed the wounds with Hypercal as well as Colloidal Silver, and packed them with aloe vera. Jose is still a bit more nervous than he used to be, which is sad, but I’m sure that too will pass with time. Walking downhill is slightly more difficult for him, probably due to the muscle damage, but he’s fully mobile. The pig hunting dogs who attacked him were put down. I actually felt sad for the dogs, as they were only doing what their owner taught them to do. But since they also attacked (and killed) animals on three other neighbouring properties, I don’t think there was much chance of them being rehabilitated. It’s a shame that the owner is not being prosecuted, and is not being made to pay our vet bills. But in the end, we’re just very grateful that Jose survived and is doing so well.
