Mike And The Ducklings

Our wonderful German volunteer, Mike, leaves today after 5 weeks with us. It was so wonderful having a talented carpenter here to turn my ideas into reality. Spring must be around the corner, because people are starting to bring orphaned ducklings to us. So yesterday Mike built his final project for The Sanctuary: a duckling pen with a separate heating/sleeping area and food/bathing area. He was carefully supervised by several experts: the “wild” ducklings and their Mum, who’ve been hanging around the house! Mike took all their feedback on board, and created a wonderful habitat for the orphans. Thanks Mike, for all you help. We’ll miss you!
