Mine Are Bigger Than Yours!

I just HAD to share this. I recently posted the photo of our goat Maddie, who has milk in her udders even though she isn’t pregnant. (See below, about 6 photos down) Lots of people wrote to me to assure me that yes, this can happen in goats. Apparently it’s a hormone thing. Well, the biggest surprise was from Cal, who sent this photo of her goat – who has also never been pregnant – but whose udders fill up with so much milk they literally drag on the ground! Poor Bella, this is the third year in a row that this has happened to her. It puts our Maddie’s slight condition into perspective. You win, Bella! I hope the new treatment works and gives you some relief.
