Newest Addition To The Sanctuary

We’re thrilled to welcome Benji to our Sanctuary family. Benji is 2 years old, and is a maltese x papillion x pomeranian. He was rescued from a horrible situation 3 months ago. I’ll never understand how anyone could neglect and be cruel to such a sweet little animal. Benji was lucky to have had wonderful foster care between his rescue and our adoption. He has put on lots of weight (he’s now 5kg), and responded really well to the love and socialisation he received. Special thanks to Linda of Animal Rehoming for his rescue, and Ingrid for his foster care. This is Benji’s third day with us, and you’d already think he’d lived here his whole life. And of course, we’re totally in love with him! This month we’ll spend a lot of time training Benji to interact positively with the other animals, and won’t leave him alone with them until we’re sure it’s safe. However, after just a couple of days it’s already going really well, so we’re confident that he’ll be fully integrated soon. It’s so nice to have a new baby!!
