‘Pave The Way’ For The Animals
July 15, 2011
Sparky’s wound has begun the slow process of healing again. It’s a challenge to change his dressing twice a day, but at least it’s progress. Now we need to actively address the terrible mud problem that we face every winter, which causes so many problems for the rescued animals in our care. We must improve conditions by concreting high use areas, creating elevated paths with drainage, layering gravel and limestone, etc. And that means we have to raise funds for all those materials. Our first action toward this is to launch a TradeMe site for the animal sanctuary, with all funds raised going to “Pave The Way For The Animals”. If you live in NZ, starting this Sunday night visit www.trademe.co.nz and make the_sanctuary your favourite seller. Tell all your friends, and check each week for items we’re selling. We’ll try to list new items every Sunday. We’d be happy to receive any items you want to donate for our TradeMe sales! If you have other good ideas on ways to raise funds to “Pave The Way For The Animals”, please share them with us. We could use your help and support. Thanks, and stay tuned for more actions we have planned for this project.
