SANCTUARY WEDDING

Yesterday was World Vegetarian Day, and we held a special event here at The Animal Sanctuary: a wedding! Our dear friends Julieth and Peter were married in a beautiful ceremony… followed by a vegetarian/vegan feast, of course! They wanted their favourite animal in the world, Jose (a kunekune pig) to be their ring bearer, but unfortunately rain forced us to move the ceremony inside. However, the entire wedding party went out to celebrate and have their photos taken with the animals afterwards. We were honoured to host such a special event, and the guests enjoyed meeting so many different kinds of animals throughout the day and evening.
