Sparky Gets Punching Bag

I wanted a boxing bag for Sparky, so that he had something to boof (other than me!) while he is confined to the stables. I saw a deal on TradeMe just as it was closing, and bought a bag without knowing the size. When we picked it up we discovered it was much smaller than we’d wanted. However, the kind lady donated it to us, saying that it was for such a good cause. And it was actually the perfect “learner bag” for Sparky to get used to the concept. He gently explored bumping it at first…but when he gave it a really powerful boof, it swung around and boofed him back!! He ran and hid behind me like a toddler who gets a fright. It was adorable. Now he’s enjoying the bag, and it’s time to move on to a larger one. Sparky has some dear friends from the UK, Ali and Chris, who developed a special bond with him when they visited last summer. They have kindly offered to buy him a “big boys boxing bag” as his upcoming birthday present. We’ll post more photos when it arrives next month. Thanks, Ali and Chris!
