Sparky’s A Big Boy Now!

A full year on, and we’re still treating Sparky’s leg. The wound has healed several times, only to keep breaking down again. We’ve tried all kinds of veterinary medicines, homeopathics, ayurvedic, Reiki, you name it!! He’s incredibly patient, letting the bandage be changed every morning. At the moment we’re trying something new from the vet: a bio-bandage. We’re only changing it once a week, and we’re hoping this might be the one that finally helps him heal permanently. Kaye from the States is sending a new med for us to try, just in case. Sparky is like a HUGE puppy, still incredibly affectionate and very cuddly. I’ll change his bandage every day for the rest of his life if need be… but for his sake, I hope it doesn’t come to that. This gentle giant has brought so much love to my life, I’m thankful every day for him.
