Valued Volunteers
October 20, 2011
Thank you to the volunteers from SAFE who came up to help us to continue our “Pave The Way For The Animals” project. With their assistance, we did all the preparation for our first concrete slab, including digging out (and pick-axing!), framing, creating the drainage, etc. We’re all ready, and have been waiting for the rain to stop so we can pour the concrete. Hopefully this weekend! We really appreciated the time and effort of the volunteers, who also put in a lovely garden, cleaned the pig and goat houses, etc.
IF YOU’D LIKE TO VOLUNTEER at The Sanctuary, you don’t have to wait for a working bee. We would love to have you come spend a day if you have gardening skills, know how to pour concrete, are handy with hammer and saw, or are just willing to be an extra pair of hands on whatever project is happening at the time. There’s always heaps to do, and we’ll provide a lovely morning tea and lunch… and of course, lots of cuddles with the animals is mandatory! Do call first to arrange a time: 09-422-7322, or email animalsanctuary@xtra.co.nz Thanks very much.
